BioShock 3 is an upcoming game in the BioShock franchise, scheduled to be released in 2011 along with the BioShock motion picture.

Speaking to investors in a quarterly financial conference call in 2008, Take-Two Interactive chairman Strauss Zelnick confirmed that plans exist for a third BioShock game, which will likely coincide with the release of the Gore Verbinski-produced film version of the game franchise. At the tail end of the call, when asked when Take-Two expects the Verbinski film to hit theatres, Zelnick responded, "Its unlikely the picture would be released coincident with BioShock 2. It's more likely it would be released coincident with BioShock 3.

Holy stuff.

Pretty old news but I'm excited

Hopefully it won't either be stuffty or not happen like almost every other game-based movie

George verbinski is directing it hes the guy who directed Pirates of The Caribbean

I've heard that this is an interesting game. Is it a little like metroid? What is the whole plot?

It's about wild giraffes that have laser vision and rape little children.

Can't wait to see what the Big Daddies look like.
And the little sisters..
*shudder*

Movie? That sounds good, if its not like some Heroic savour Romance (COUGH TRANSFORMERS COUGH) that has nothing to do with Bioshock.

Man gets fed up with the world

Man builds underwater utopia

stuff hits the fan

Character arrives years afterward and gets metaphorically raped by people with over-altered DNA, brain goo in diving suits that emit whale sounds, and small children with yellow eyes who stab dead people

Big Daddies are diving suits with brain goo?

I liked Bioshock, but it was one of the most repettetive games I've ever played... And the first Bioshock had little to no replay value, Bioshock 2 was very the same, seriously I didn't notice 1 thing dif, in Bioshock 2. But the Bioshock movie sounds cool.

Bioshock 2 has a kind of l4d2 director, where it will lead you on different paths through the game. That happened to me a few replays.
