Author Topic: Blockland Ipod  (Read 2183 times)

I got the idea when i was at my parkour city. i had a song but i wanted to be able to listen to it every where. I though back to the days of roblox (i hate that game now) and a guy made a ro player which was about an ipod

I was hoping someone could make a client for a I-Pod for blockland. you say /ipod and a little box comes up with the song playing and you use 2 different buttons (dont care what) to scoll through the songs then you say /ipod off to turn it off.

And add a folder in music in the addons folder the says ipod then download songs there to add it

Thanks and please don't flame

Change Blockland to windowed mode, open a music player, listen to music, turn oof sound in Blockland options, problem solved.

yeah i though of that but i would preferr it being a client

i bet most people would, but thanks

I only play BL in windowed mode, because of the alt+tab crash (just on Vista?) but I agree with the second dude that posted. A client would just be a clunkier version of what you already used to play music, and you'd have the added burden of copying all your music into your addons folder.

Just play it in the background.

Torque is incapable of playing .mp3 files so you'd have to convert all your music to .wav files, which are generally larger in file size.

ok guys i guess its ok to use the internet, Thanks for convincing me

No, there is a mod that you can play any file extension continuous.

You don't know what you're talking about.

It's pointless and would be a lot of work for nothing, IMO. Just use YouTube or iTunes or Grooveshark or something, you don't need to have it in-game.

Isn't there Advanced Music?

Correction Torque can.  I read it somewhere on the forums where a guy said that it let him somehow and Badspot responded "Really I didn't think that was possible" or something to the effect.  I tried it and it worked however I did use small mp3's.  Also if you didn't know: most weapon firing sounds are .mp3 or .wav.  It may sound like gibberish but its true.

All weapon sounds are .wav. There was a sandwich item or something using an mp3 and it caused an array of problems for clients joining the server.

1. Plug headphones into iPod
2. Turn iPod on
3. Play music
4. Start Blockland
5. ???
6. Profit
