Actually, yes. it is not aparrent from the internet, because atheist flock together, but only a tiny, tiny percentage of people are atheists.

3) Most atheists on this board seem to pursue atheisim so fanatically that it almost seems like a religion, when most of you are using religious fanatics as an example of why religion is bad.

How does this "combat Atheism"?

1) don't be stupid, without religion, we probably would not have half as good of a world today. while laws enforce basic right and wrong, the whole "right and wrong" thing was determined by religion. at the very least, without religion, our ethics would be lagging far behind where they are now.

2)pff, no. okay listen. if atheists are wrong, they lose nothing. literally. but instead there is, literally, an eternity of either paradise, or flames. seems like a bit of a no-brainer to me.if you are right, changes nothing. if you're wrong, eternal suffering. (or not, depends on the religion. for some it's not eternity)

3)YOU ARE BEING AN ANTI-RELIGIOUS FANATIC. THE ONLY DIFFERRENCE IS YOUR BELIEF. SAME AS NORMAL RELIGIOUS FANATICS. clear enough now?

and also, to combat the atheists, I have a few arguments:

4)Atheists are such a tiny minority that it occurs to me that many, if not most of them, are doing it just to seem smarter, more edgy, or mostly to seem superior to the "sheeple" who believe. One thing that I have seen  across the board with atheists is that they do not realize that they are very unlikely to change anybody's opinion, as accusing them of being wrong will generally just make them defensive. the only people who will abandon their church are the people who's faith is already wavering, and would abandon their church at the introduction of any other idea. anyone of solid faith just gets rooted deeper when you try to make them see what you think is the truth.

TL,DNR: telling people that they are wrong just makes them defensive. it occurs to me that this also applies to this post making people defensive, but oh well.

humans blow it up, if you disbelieve all that four horseman stuff. same overall effect. also there are so, so many more ways than that for the earth to die.

Humans can't blow the Earth up...yet. We can totally obliterate the surface with nuclear holocaust, but life can survive that and regrow. It was said that the only thing that can be removed from the Earth and it wouldn't affect it at all is humanity. (Probably just make the earth better) that's also describing the end of civilization, not the Earth. The Earth will continue on even without us.
