I just got this game for the Wii yesterday and I must say it is a delight to play. After you complete the tutorial by talking to some noob in the forest that got hungry, you can play online. Online play is four times as hard no matter how many people are actually playing with you, with a max of four. This means that bosses take atleast 5 minutes to kill, some of the harder ones take 20. And you start attacking them from the start. Anyone else have this game?

I would play it but I don't have a Wii. I did play it on PS2 and PSP and did full completions of the game on all.

That said, I don't ever remember a "Tutorial" in any of them. You guys are lucky.

I'm having trouble with the Barroth, any tips? Some questions I need to ask though:

How do you get monsters to eat tinged and drugged meat
When is longsword unlocked


And one thing you need to know, godbug+*(something i forget,possibly monster fluid)*=nutrients,

nutrients+honey=mega nutrients

Instead of healing, you can always learn how to dodge each attack or avoid them so you'd never waste potions. :D

There should be YouTube guides on how to tackle each individually by yourself.

To get monsters to eat something, you place it in the open and let it come to it.

I do try to dodge, but because I use sword and shield (until freakin longsword shows itself), dodging is difficult with large monsters like such, I always run out of time. 80% of the time my weapon bounces off of it.

Sword and Shield has auto-ESP (Meaning, you can attack the enemy regardless of how tough its skin is until your weapon durability falls).

Probably the problem is that you're rushing it? If not, I'll look at videos myself and confirm how to approach it.

Barroth is super super easy once you learn how to fight him, you basically just have to be very conservative and wait for him to roar or start tail whipping to attack.
If he is steaming then just stay away from him or he could 2 shot you. Once he tail whips stand under him and dish out the pain, or when he roars dish it out from the side, his front is your worst enemy NEVER throw a shot in front of him. Also if you make him charge you at a wall you can attack after you dodge because he won't turn around and jump back. I've killed him like 15 times single player I have his full armor too. BTW you unlock the first longsword after you make lagiacrus flee or when you kill a greater baggi, it's one of those. I use lance because when you know how to use a lance you rape everything.

Get it as rewards after caps and kills of bosses, the best lowbie armor pre-barroth is prob qurupeco armor, but rhenoplas armor has immunity to barroths mud so might help you.

Seriously. Sword and shield is the worst for bosses, I mean it is the easiest to use but it does 0 damage. Use a mace, it is pretty fast for a 2h, massive damage, and the whirlwind thing it does is great when used right. Only time I use a sword and shield is when I am farming mats, in my leather suit for speed gathering and gathering+1.

I deleted my HR 32 and restarted and am HR 17 now, I can play with you later but my controller isn't working every now and then and it is really pissing me off so I am not gonna play until I fix it.
