Author Topic: What is your phone?  (Read 9691 times)

I'm actually assuming you have the standard life for a twelve-year-old. I'm never home. I have a data plan because I'm never around a normal computer. I use this data plan to log in and check my grades and class announcements...  and obviously recreational things such as movie showings and price checks.

Yes, legitimately.

Also, I text at work. What else can you do?

I go over to my friend's house. Play video games for 10-20 minutes, go outside and play some football, run around and that's it. I don't even email my friends. Neither text them or etc. Just go there. I like to sit down with a controller in my hands from time to time, read books and the usual stuff a 12-year old does. But for forget's sake, I don't need a overhyped piece of crap that I carry around to stay connected to the world.

Wait, are you two arguing on the same side of a disagreement?

Or, is Xrobo saying that Bones doesn't need a phone?

Or is Bones saying that Xrobo doesn't understand how a phone could be useful at his age and Xrobo is forcefully agreeing?

I'm so loving confused right now.

Your argument is so unreasonably biased that you completely dismissed every reason I have for owning my phone. Arguing with you is a waste of time.

xrobo is saying the phone bones uses is overpriced and stuffty.
bones is saying it is useful for someone who does what he does.

He texts his friends because he doesn't want to walk.
He checks his facebook/twitter and etc because he can't stay away from the internet.
He checks his grades via the internet because he's too lazy to walk to his school.

He texts his friends because he doesn't want to walk. What if he is busy atm?
He checks his facebook/twitter and etc because he can't stay away from the internet. What if he needs to communicate with multiple people?
He checks his grades via the internet because he's too lazy to walk to his school. What if he is on a vacation?

Who the hell are you to dictate his life and what he is and isn't lazy for? Say he lives in New York. What if his loving school is in Manhattan and he lives in Queens? Facebook and Twitter is your most valid argument, or, rather your least invalid argument. Social networks such as Facebook and Twitter aren't just for social stuff and once you start using them, you can't just stop. It'd be like saying "okay, I'm going to stop using cars right now". It'd still work, but barely and way loving less efficiently than it was before.

Like today, I got a Facebook message from my manager at work saying that I need to get work permits ASAP for my new job. I was in the middle of school, so he couldn't call me and he didn't know my email but we were friends on Facebook. Done.

Finally, who the forget walks to talk to their friends? My closest (geographically) friend lives two miles away. And again, sometimes there's pressing stuff that needs to be discussed. I have a friend that lives 15 miles away and he had a really stuffty day so I called him up and we talked for a while.

On a side note, I also think it's so funny how you're so damn close minded to any concern or mindset or need but your own at the age of 12 that you say "walk" instead of "drive", even though Bones is 20.

1. My friends and I all work. When you get a job, try making phone calls. It's easier said than done. Getting fired or written up isn't fun.
2. When did I mention Facebook or Twitter? Now you're just being an starfish.
3. I'm not always at my school, roosterbag.

@#1, you said walk. Haha! I live 40 miles from school, 20 miles from work, and up to 50 miles from my bandmates. I can't just take a chance and show up. Why? OH! Because we all have jobs!

My phone is an old flip phone from 2003. It sucks

I have the enV Touch, it's stuffty but the touch screen on it is impeccable; I'd rate it up there with the iPhone.

1.When you should be working, you text and call people?
2. See 1#.
3."Oh no I need my grades" *walk to school* "There they are" *walk back*. It's not like your school is 3 states away.

Just happen to have two of these bad boys lyin' around.
Not cheap  :cookieMonster:

Read my edit. My school is 40 miles away...  about 55 from my work. Also, I have people who I need to stay in communication with. When you get a job, you'd better not ever loving text someone. That's one tough 8-10 hour shift, buddy.

This all takes me back to my original statement.

You're 12.

Edit: My managers text.
