This is true for all friggin phones sold nowadays. The companies don't care if you just need it for calling and texting only. I tried explaining that to the sales rep I had when I wanted a new phone upgrade. Still for some reason she kept pushing the internet feature which I repeatedly told her I didn't need because I'm home often enough that I don't need to check facebook on my 1 mile trip to work and back on my phone.

Are you kidding me? It has plenty of tools.* And it doesn't cost a lot, I found a data plan deal at a shop. 50 bucks for the Iphone, and the monthly fee was under 3 dollars.

I prefer making calls to sending texts. I like to be somewhat in clue to how a person's emotional states are. makes it less likely for me to misinterpret something.

Smartphones are pretty damn cheap over here. This day I saw a commercial for a Windows-operated smartphone. They were selling it for under 1 dollar. The data plan as around 10 dollars monthly, though.
