How about scaling things back to what's possible? What about a ship like the pelican, but just a bit bigger? Nothing fancy like docks or nomount scripts. Just a large spaceship (Have we ruled out a warp drive function?).
just a big spaceship????ARE YOU NUTS THESE IDEAS ROCK BUT THIS ONE IS JUST NUTS WELKNAIR and i mean just making it big without anything but interior now that is the nuts part
Cool down a bit.I suggested this ship primarily due to our lack of such a ship. Those additional features would indeed be very awesome but would most likely cause massive amounts of lag or not be possible to make at all. I'd much rather have a scaled back version then discussing a cooler version that will get made.Ships with detailed interiors wouldn't be used for big space travel anyways. If I was aiming to cross Planets, I would hop into the ship that has the 5 slots with no interior in a heartbeat. Interior is primarily an aesthetics thing and the only reason that the carrier had the nomount script was so that you could walk around on top of it/land planes on top. Since I'm sure that we won't have docks (which would cause lag if we could manage doors to open/close to keep ships in) the only reason for wanting an interior would be for the capacity of being boarded. But hears the problem: Unless every one of your slots are full, a potential boarder can just turn off nomount and jump into a turret and start teleporting around the ship via the period and comma keys. I see no way to get around this without--- Yeah. I don't see any way.So if someone agrees to actually make it, it's best not to complain.
I feel like applying for ares. But I would like to join more.
Funny thing is, I'm actually kind of working on something similar to this. A pair of things, actually. Although that don't exactly have visible interiors, as I'm still not very good at that, I'll see what I can do.
Are you talking about a build or an actual vehicle?
And actual vehicle. Two, actually. I have the second open in Blender.
Cool. It would be nice if you could post a WIP pic.
