....I care.

What the hell is up with that?

I wish stuff like this was possible, this is one thing I like about roblox, as I said many times. The way you can actually make builds move and walk around inside vehicles. I am wondering how much farther badspot could push the engine before he ultimately would have to switch.
You are right heed.I also thing Blockland needs buildable vehicles. You can use a brick called Car wheel. and attach it to a plate or something.make it.a mount seat,And maybe a wheel :3

I'm curious: What prompted you to post this here? The ideas that you present are valid ones, though not largely applicable to our current conversation.

Perhaps a suggestion topic of it's own or in general discussion?

Onofftopic: I see what you're getting at, and you're right. I've seen nothing to imply that what you're describing is impossible, though I have heard things about heli's generally being difficult to script. I guess I'm not the best person to answer this as the most I've scripted is a hybrid of the rowboat and MAS swarmfighter... (Gunned rowboat FTW).

So who wants to make this cause idk how

Well Clown has been showing us some pretty cool model pics and a while back Comr4de said that he would set several Ares people to work on this...

Ninjaedit: What I really want to know is whether or not a "FTL" or "Warp" drive is possible. As someone said a while back, it would be activated most likely by the engineer or pilot. It could be that it just gives the ship a temporary speed  boost, but alternatively you could use something like the laser pointer which tells how far away the nearest object is in any given direction. Using this, the ship could be pre-programmed to never actually run headlong into anything. This would allow the ship to go much faster, though I don't know if it's possible.

Either way, if such a drive is possible at all, I think that the drive should become inoperable after the ship sustains a little damage. Alternatively, It would be cool if the entire ship were segmented (You have a part for the engines, a part for each gun, a part for the FTL drive, a part for the bridge, etc.) so that when that part is hit, it bursts into flames or explodes. This would allow you to have your gunners focus on, say, the FTL drive and cut off their escape. You could hone in on their guns and prevent them from firing back. You could shoot the bridge and suck out the command crew into the cold of space. It would allow for very interesting space battles.

I'm pretty sure that the above idea is possible. It would work like the turret on the pelican. Hmm. Crud. You can't kill the turret individually... Well the whole above idea may be entirely impossible, but at least it's an idea.

Check out my "Click to mount?" thread. It's got an idea that may simulate walking in a ship.

I think the easiest way for a FTL drive for a ship at the moment might be just to script the vehicle so when the pilot presses "Shift" it give it a speed boost.

I saw it, very good.

Besides that, it seems unneccesary and laggy.

That would be awesome beyond reason.

Bump.

Any scripters out there willing?

Clown.

It's not possible.
Unless it's just for transport. Then it would be extremely laggy.

Well, I'm not saying that I know a lot about scripting, but I'd say that it'd be decently possible, although incredibly difficult. And either way, just a normal large spaceship would work. I'm basically just asking for someone to script either the ships or the main thing that he's talking about.

"It's Not Possible"............... My ass! You can design and script about anything to Blockland so why not this? Isn't it possible to script it so you can spawn only 1 or 2 maybe. but this would be awesome.
