Durr aliens that look absolutely nothing like the ones from the first, an unexplained change from high-tech VTOLs to low(er) tech Black Hawks, and a completely random setting change. Only thing consistent is the nanosu- oh wait they changed that too.

Why are there completely different aliens? I know things can change and stuff, but why would they all of the sudden scrap the old ones and add new ones or what ever

I liked the original Crysis aliens because they weren't your typical bipedal alien invaders, they were more like War of the Worlds. Aliens that posed a threat when they showed up, not cookie-cutter mooks you cut down by the thousands.
