I'm pretty sure they'll sell the books, though I doubt they have ongoing games. I also don't know if they sell 3.5 or just 4.0...

In case you guys haven't noticed, I play 3.5 a lot more than 4.0 though I still have the core books and knowledge for 4.0.
Would you say 3.5 is the most popular?

If you have enough money to blow on this, go buy these, and give us pictures of your epic creations.
These are the most epic D&D tiles I have ever seen. The sets themselves are something like $100 each.
Damn. If I played DnD with anyone I'd totally try and get these.

That's a very good song. Stop thread stuffting, you douche. Go back to playing pretend with your "wife" on your "honeymoon" and all that.

im back from my honeymoon now, and i was just saying you should listen to the song what is wrong with that?

Mostly the fact that anyone old enough to get married would loving know what's wrong with it.

He probably lives in Yemen, and is in an arrange marriage with an 8 year old girl. Their "Honeymoon" is just them not being ankle-deep in sewage and medical waste.

Well, each to their own. Most stores only sell 4.0 now and most places that have periodic games are usually 4.0.

I, however, have been involved in 3.5 for a while and thus am reluctant to convert.

When you choose which one you want to play, there are a number of things to keep in mind. 3.5 and 4.0 are really different games. They are so different that you cannot convert from one to the other as you could with older versions.

3.5 is a more classic version of DnD and has a lot more books, but you have to buy them at specialty stores or online. 3.5 focuses around feats and uses a level-based spell system. 3.5 also allows for a lot more customization between prestiege classes, multiclassing, a wider array of feats, etc.

4.0 is much newer and is actively being worked on. All powers and combat are based on "Powers" that all classes get. These powers are daily, encounter, or at will. They allow for more in-depth combat and interesting strategies. Unfortunately, they got rid of the old spell system and now wizard spells are just powers. In general, feats are pretty vanilla. They've eliminated multiclassing and prestiege class and instead have "Hybrid" classes that allow you to fully combine two classes and paragon classes that are branches off of your main class that you choose when you reach level 10.

I suggest you research further, though ultimately it's a matter of taste. I'm sure you can find debates online...

I use my scroll of bump.

We haven't started yet, but I'm going to make my friends start soon. Has anyone else decided that Dragonborn are cooler with tails, and therefore make Drangonborn have tails in their game? This only applies to DMs.

Well in 3.5 there are a number of draconic feats, one of which gives the player a dragon tail...

I assume you're talking 4.0 as Dragonborn is one of the core 4.0 classes. I personally would advise against just giving dragonborn characters tails as they'll want to use it for trip attacks and the like. Perhaps have a feat that the character can take to grow a tail?

What I mean is that you should think things through before you alter the rules in the book. Keep in mind that what's in the book has hopefully been playtested and carefully balanced. I'm not saying don't allow, I'm saying make sure it doesn't unbalance the race in too big a way.

I never said it was prehensile. But yes, that is a good idea. Now I shall instead have it be a feat, and the feat gives them a prehensile tail.

Heroes of Battle and Complete Warrior should be coming tomorrow...

I want mah troll army!

The Heroes of Battle book is a 3.5 supplement that gives guidelines allowing for massive battles or entire war-based campaigns. I've already designed a game world, have a creation story, and divvied up the land between a number of nations. I'm looking forward to seeing them duke it out with my players in the middle. Big fun.

Got it. =D
Warlocks and Warmages FTW.

Warlocks: Unlimited spells. They're like energizer bunnies... The can just keep going and going...

Warmages: Wizards. WITH ARMOR. (They don't get killed as fast)

Also complete arcane has some cool metamagic feats like explosive spell. EXPLOSIVE FIREBALL.

Heightened Bump (Cast as a two-page bump, as opposed to a one page bump)
(These are all real metamagic...)
