And also, was this really necessary? He just seemed hung up over the matter. A bit over-dramatic, yes, but he hasn't really done anything to deserve this. He has no evidence, so? He isn't educated on the subject, teach him. It's not that hard, if he'll listen. Otherwise, he doesn't seem that terrible. :o
If there is one (which I don't believe so), you are going to loving heaven Mage.

Skelo's prediction

the world will not end due to any kind of god destroying the worlds populace

but it will, infact be cuased by the absolute chaos that will be cuased by people who think they are about to die, and the streets will revert to martial law

God isn't going to kill us, the 62 Millions year cycle will. We are over due since the dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago and in a few years we should be passing through the galactic plane. The world will not end, life will go on as microbes, and evolve into animals we've never seen before. Its just that possible the Human race, and definitely over 90% of the species on the planet will die.

On the other hand, the sun will become active around 2011-2013, a series of super solar storms will bash our Ozone layer. If we are lucky only our electricity will die out.

 65 Million years
Now, the 65 million year event is very interesting. The Mayans believed that the Earth had seven cycles of life, now comes the final seventh. Studies explained that we experienced 6 only. To get this evidence is mind boggling, but some believed the Mayan Gods were highly advanced alien beings.

 Yay science!

You're full of stuff.

I hate to be overconfident, but we could probably redirect an asteroid, especially if we have a few million years left.

No

"The question I get asked most often is, 'Could a perfect space storm happen again, and when?'" added Tsurutani. "I tell people it could, and it could very well be even more intense than what transpired in 1859. As for when, we simply do not know," he said.

Who cares what the Mayans thought (also we're not in the final 7th).

You're incredibly stupid. There are also people who believe the holocaust never happened and the earth is flat.
