pascals' wager..

that's really old
That only works if there's one god. Since we have loads and loads to pick from it's more of a lottery - "Sorry, you picked the wrong answer. ETERNAL PUNISHMENT."

pascals' wager..

that's really old

another way to think about pascal's wager:

what if the christian god is not real, but another god is. and then that god got really pissed that you believed in the wrong god, and doublesmited you.

God doesn't exist. Be mad now.
It's funny because most of modern science is based upon those who were devoutly religious, and without that aspect of their life, they more than likely would not have discovered/created what they did....

:cookieMonster:

Regardless, everyone contributes to the world in one way or another, and everything we have now is based upon that which was the past. In reality, much of what we may be against, may very well have been a major stepping stone for what we stand for, so one should appreciate each person equally, as well as view history from multiple perspectives. While not always easy, it certainly helps you examine your own self, and to find other approaches to the present, so that we all may have a bright future.  c:

I can perfectly understand people having faith, but what absolutely boggles my mind is that there are people who wake up in the morning, get dressed, walk outside and think to themselves "Any day now, our cosmic overlord will descend from the sky and break the seals which will usher forth from the seas a seven headed hydra, bringing in it's wake chaos upon all of the earth and converting the unfaithful to it's bidding. Yes, that is EXACTLY how things are going to happen."
dude that doesnt even make sense
we, were cruel but if god kill us all he would be cruel too!
pure irony.

ontopic: yes they always end.

The bible states NOTHING about the world ending, Hur.

That only works if there's one god. Since we have loads and loads to pick from it's more of a lottery - "Sorry, you picked the wrong answer. ETERNAL PUNISHMENT."
What if you're really vague?

I'm gonna bet the world will end when we all die. Nobody has proof. Scientists have no evidence but their own opinions. Only Nostradamus's prophecies and the Bible seem to have some proof and tells the end of the world.

and scientists are always full of stuff xD
also, if there is no god, whats the point in living?

and scientists are always full of stuff xD

Haha, definitely.

and scientists are always full of stuff xD

Yeah, those scientists are NEVER right! Remember how wrong they were about heliocentrism and all that bullstuff of the earth being ROUND? And what a bunch of arrogant swine they are for curing horrible afflictions like Smallpox. The LORD demands that the impure die painfully and miserably!

Also, they don't know how those forgetin' magnets work.

whats the point in living?
Maybe everything is invisible and you're the only one who can see it.

Do you know how unlikely it is for something complex enough to create the universe to spontaneously appear?

you could say that about the big bang too :I there's a problem somethings have to be right and the other wrong but either can't be disproved

I have an idea let's wait till we die and we'll find out then lol
