There is no such thing as pc overkill.

I don't quite understand this topic.

There is no such thing as pc overkill.
There is now, considering there is no need to have that much of a high end computer. Especially since nvidia has .. uhm ive forgotte what  its called. But where the GPU can take processing stress off the CPU

They would slap me for mentioning what disk drives, tower, and harddrives I'm using, because that stuff don't give E-peen and you would look like a jackass for going on about them.

No, that stuff sure is good, but it gets better.

4 GB of RAM? HOLY JESUS THAT'S A LOT!

not really

how much ram do you have?

not really i have 4 GB of RAM in my computer right now

You can have mobos that offer dual processors, and up to I think 24gigs ram

Plus tri-vid cards

4gigs of memoery isn't much. Kinda nooby comp for gaming

Uhh, there is plenty of reasons to have a computer of this caliber. You must have missed Ephialtes' thread about his new computer, now that could be considered overkill.

Hell, my new computer has an Intel Core i5 (2.67GHz/Quad Core), 4GB DDR2 RAM, an ATi Radeon 5800HD (Approx. Total Memory according to dxdiag, 1775MB) and a WD 1TB SATA HDD in an Antec 900 Case. I can easily get another hard drive when I need it, since the entirety of basically all my data fits in under 100GB right now this won't be until long after this entire rig is outdated and probably scrapped.

Also, I think that nVIDIA's new tech was CUDA, off the top of my head. Can't remember right.

lol dolt.

Rather than upgrading your pc every year with 50 bucks you decide to spend 5000 bucks on a comp.

havn't heard of that, but the tri-vid cards is old news

Why waste $5000 when you could probably build one like this for about $2000?
My comp has 9 gb but can go up to 24, can run a lot of games on high and only cost $2000. I made a mistake because I could build one better for about $1500.
