I use Nestopia for NES emulation. It has gameshark support, it's simplistic and fast, and it has hq-x support.

Can anyone tell me a good PSP emulator?

wut about DeSmuME
what about NO$GBA?
What about them? If you want it featured in the main post say something about it. I don't really know anything about them.

If nobody else has any suggestions:

Test them and report back, I'd love to add one to the main post! JPCSP is supposedly "the only available emulator capable of running over 100 commercial PSP games and most PSP homebrew applications" so it sounds like a good place to start.

I looked at the wikipedia article and it looks like it's packed with a lot of good features, I'll test it later tonight and get to work adding it into the thread. This thread is a big mess of bbcode so I edit it in an external editor, it takes a bit of time to get everything formatted right.

SNEmulDS

SNES on your DS.
The thread is primarily focused on pc emulators mainly because I don't have most of the other systems to test the emulators in. If you think it's a good idea I'll add a section for emulators that don't run on PCs. If you want it added, the information I need is whether or not you can do any kind of multiplayer and 1 or 2 sentences about the emulator (common issues, bugs, where to look for help are good things to mention).

The Mac N64 emulator I use is Sixtyforce. Only for mac, but runs well. I've run the Starfox 64 and Rainbow Six on it with no problems (except keyboard controls are hard, but that's normal :P). It's free, but there's a full version that has a few more features and costs $16. I like it.

The speed is good, especially for emulating the N64 hardware with software. If you don't have a mac, that's okay. I think it runs as well as Mupen and PJ64.

add no$gba and Desmume

no$gba: Windows (GBA, and some Nintendo DS support

Desmume: Mac (Nintendo DS)

You forgot this for games:

That's piracy.

We're talking only about emulation in this thread, not the games or where to obtain them.

bump because this topic is good

I shall now play with my  :nes:.

Also, it's possible to use a Wiimote with a Nes emu.
