Author Topic: How to host a G-mod server  (Read 2427 times)

Sweet mother of god, Stop with the repetitive periods after every sentence. Holy quad-post.

for the UDP umm is that external or internal?
because it still didn't work.

Take a picture of the port forwarding screen on the router's page.

Kk, here ya go...

I have just 27015 UDP forwarded and it works for me.
Well it did back when I hosted, haven't tried it recently.

Also, holy toolbars

I have a lyksys WRT54G modem
what ports do I need to forward?

What router you have doesn't matter. It the game you're forwarding them for.

So if it's gmod, or any source game, 27015.

For internal or external?

I think that for port forwarding, it is always any internal port, and you specify the external port. In your case, just put in the ports 1200, 27015, and 27020 for external, and try putting "All", or "Any" in internal, or something like that, for UDP. Then go to "Port Range Forwarding" at the top there, and put in the port ranges 27000-27015 and 27020-27039, for TCP, into the external. Try variations of "All" and "Any", if you need to, try putting in a range like 0-99999 or something.
Also, if this doesn't work, just try switching external/internal.

Thank you very much.

Buy a server, best way to do it.

There are tons of websites that rest servers for like, 1 dollar per player slot per month.

Seriously? $1 a player slot per month? Could you give me a link to a website?

Why be so lazy to do that and not just do some stuff to port forward =/
