V8 Diesel 7.8+ Liter or bust.
What kind of engine does that Tacoma have?
4.0L V6 (gasoline) producing 236 HP. Not really that big but it does what I need while still retaining some luxury features on the interior and looks pretty nice.
Dude a truck isn't worth it. You get stuffty performance and waste gas because you don't even use it for what it is. My suggestion would be to get a car so you can at least get better performance for the mpg.
I am on the verge of a large move and need the storage space. I also need the space for my upcoming job. I have done my research, this isn't just a random buy. The truck weights about 4,200 Ibs. which is much lighter than most American trucks. Compare it to the T-Bird, which is 3,800 Ibs. The Tacoma handles nearly identically to my T-Bird. 20 MPG is not bad at all. My other option was a 2010 Camaro 1SS which is more highly rated in all categories except reliability, but it barely has any room inside.
So you sold a decent car and went all bogan and bought a truck,
That "decent" car looks good on the outside, but is plagued with mechanical problems and is aging disgracefully. It is a 1995 model. The suspension is collapsing, the transmission skips on occasion, and I have owned it for four years. It no longer serves the purpose that I need a truck for.
Also, the Kelley Blue Book price for a '95 T-Bird in its condition is $2,015. I'd say $3,750 isn't bad.
