Author Topic: How do I use Fallout 3 saves I've downloaded?  (Read 1946 times)

How do I use Fallout 3 saves that I've downloaded from websites/transferred to my PS3? I know how to play the saved games but the saves I have downloaded wont save. No autosave no save, all I can do with the saves is load them. So if I play a save for a while and get used to it, and it freezes or something. If I turn it off/quit I'll lose everything. Is there a way to make the new save... save-able so I can use it again. Cause I found a save on GameFaqs that is supposed to be a "ninja" character with no quests finished. But I can't save it. I like to make stealth sniper characters... but I don't feel like leveling up to get points to sneak/small guns perks etc. The main reason of this topic is to ask one "simple" question. How do I make saves for Fallout 3 that I got from websites, saveable?

Complete the game yourself

I already have a save I did with a level 22 very good guy. I just completed that one Broken Steel quest with the Deathclaws.  I just want to download a save so I can have a very stealthy character.

You could just use console cheats and get a ton of skillpoints without the need of a save.

Your fault for playing it on the PS3.

Or you know, put skill points into Sneak.

Here's a tip: At the very beginning, put points into intelligence until it is at 9 (I suggest taking Charisma down to one, it's not a useful combat skill). Then pick the educated perk as soon as possible and go get the Intelligence bobblehead from Rivet City before you level up again.
