That would be awesome, although even awesomer if you're chasing a bike in a jeep, it turns, and you don't turn in time to follow it... And boom.
RTB setting, perhaps?

Build bricks behind you as you drive.
Lets see how that works out.

Also crashed on fast enough impacts.
That may work...we need a programmer!

Im not sure how that would work. It would most likely just spam the server with usless bricks plus if you did use brick eachone would need to be evented so you could die which would bring even more lag.

True...bricks are out, me thinks.

And if your grinding against another wall you shouldn't get hurt. The only actual way of dieing is a head on collision onto a wall or another players trail

Indeedies.

Yeah, I said indeedies.

It was made before.
I distinctively remember a Tron lightbike Model on an Add-ons topic around v8.
Chances are it's not ported.

Did it have 90 degree turns and the ability to destroy anything behind it?

Not nessisary "everything behind it" It just leaves a thin trail.

The bike itself is almost certainly possible, but the trail, being solid and eventually disappearing, I can almost guarantee is either impossible or insanely difficult.

Or it's the easiest thing in the world... I wouldn't know.

Easiest thing in the world, just use vehicle events and zones to make it so you die if you go onto a colored 8x8 baseplate and if you run over a normal baseplate, it turns your color. (Variables, too.)

A lovey concept, but we were thinking about a vehicle that doesn't require a special grid to work.

Yeah no special assembly or anything like that.

Maybe if the bike left behind a trail of transparent colored bricks with the glow effect? But that is probably hard, too... and would look ugly.

Thanks for the idea but as i said before...

No no no, bricks wouldn't work. If you had 5 people riding around, the brick count would skyrocket. I'm thinking projectiles (long, rectangular ones) with no velocity would do well. We can change projectile color, so that's fine. But could you program a vehicle to have a constant "onProjectileHit event"? If we could, this is pretty simple.
