Does Half-Life 2 pull already downloaded models?

For example, I have Garry's Mod, HL2: Deathmatch, and Lost Coast. Those are bound to have models from the original Half-Life 2.

Is it pulling models from those games?

You need the Source SDK.  Buy Portal if you can't play M rated games, you still get the content from Half Life 2. (Though it doesn't include some models and it doesn't include HL2's maps.)

Then you're forgeted.  Wait for Portal 2, if that includes the Source SDK. (VERY high chance.  Doesn't seem as modded as L4D's engine, and if is, it's probably for every new game's engine.) Or you could get your parent's permission.
