I'm sure a lot of you are musicians to some degree, so let me ask you, who are your musical influences?
I'm sure you prefer playing one way over another, whether it be similar to another artist or not.
I play the guitar, so musically, my influences are Barry Stock of Three Days Grace, Daron Malakian of System of a Down, and Head (formerly) from Korn. I've also always loved the sound and beats of songs from Alice Cooper and David Bowie.
Occasionally, I'll write lyrics based on whatever my mood is. I've always fancied the meaning behind Korn, Rammstein and Three Days Grace's songs. Sometimes it's just poetry turned into music, sometimes it's just my mood sprawled out on a piece of paper, and sometimes it's about a situation I heard on the news or something.
Anyone else have a musical influence? And no, this isn't a "who's your favorite musician" thread.
