Author Topic: Secretly Dating/Asking a Girl Out (:P)  (Read 11720 times)

I could be all like: "Hey mom, I am going to the movies with a bunch of friends. Can I go?"
I'll try that sometime. "Date Night" I don't think is good for a date. :D

Seriously if youre 14 and can't go out to the movies with a girl and you have to lie to your parents you aren't ready for a relationship.

it's mean to say... but thats kinda sad you have to break away from your moms grip.

Listen to us, we are older than you and I know I have been in your shoes. It's not worth it. Be friends and if you still like her when your a bit older, then ask her out. Besides, then your parents  might let you use the car... ;)
17? Your a parent?
I boast a little bit about my grades and skipping a grade in math, so I am pretty full of myself in academics. It's not anything serious, as Jess said. Just "Puppy love."

I've already gotten that far. :D

Come over house just-visiting-and-friendly kind of friend which is of the woman type? Invite with other friends? Hang out frequently? Talk to frequently?

If you two are at this point:

Then keep it up for until you're 16. Defying your parents at this age is a bad start.

My true suggestion is make her a friend... not a best friend... but good friend.

so in the future she becomes a forget buddy.

I know thats a long way away but in like 5 years she'll be a easy forget buddy as long as you arent super close friends.

My parents are way overprotective. I can't hang out for 5 min after school. My mom is all like "WHERE WERE YOU?"

Talk to her after school.

Why does he have to be a parent in order for what he says to be valid? I'm 18, I've got 4 years on you and I've seen enough stuff happen to know that disobeying rules as simple as a dating age is just downright stupid. Grow up some more first before you even think about trying to maintain a relationship, because sneaking around your parents' back obviously shows that you can't even be responsible enough to listen to the ones that gave birth to you.

Gasp! They care about you! What horrible, horrible people! I assure you that you'd hate it if your parents didn't give a stuff what you did.

I say go for it.

You're 14, probably 8th grade or 9th. I've always believed that you should wait till high school to start dating. Never a specific age.

Of course, if you get caught, you have to deal with the consequences.

Stop being a bad influence >:c

I'm on the opposite end...

he's 14... he needs to grow up.. that growing up doesn't involving listening to mommy and being mommas boy. be rebellious...

The best way to grow up is to be on your own, not having mom and dad by your hand.

forget Buddy ftw!

Eh, if it isn't anything serious then yeah, go with what Jess suggested. Atleast see where it goes and to put it bluntly, to hell with what your parents think. They can't coddle you forever and in reality, or atleast from personal experience, the more they restrict you from doing something, the more inclined you will WANT to do it; Atleast for me it was but thats beside the point.

As I said, give it a shot; see what happens and if you both really click then celebrations for all! There could also be away of guilt tripping your parents into loosening up about the age limit. You could convince them that you're responsible enough and blah blah blah... I'm just gonna stop rambling now lol

Never said I was a parent. And in 3 months I become a legal adult.

Anywho, it might start as puppy love, but just wait. The cute smiles could turn into heartache and heartbreak if you/her decide you're not as interested anymore.

I know I would. Remember when you were 14? You hated your parents?
