Valve is finally giving us some info on Episode 3! :D

Okay, for the picture, (which is official because it's from the TF2 site), look at the mans left arm (to your right) his vein is in the shape of a lambda, and his fist in the shape of a 3.

Discuss.

That's really kind of pushing it, but I suppose Valve would do something like that.

There's no way that would just happen. This is deliberate.

Why does everybody have to go prodding around for secrets and just wait?

Because prodding around for secrets is fun? :D

How do you guys know it's not Half-Life 3? They'll probably make a new engine if they are releasing a new Half-Life game, and if they don't they're goddamn lazy. The source engine's 6 years old now.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3 = Half-Life 3
It's just a name difference, they are the same game.
Also, the Ep2 engine is not 6 years old, it's 3 years old thank you very much. :P

Source engine came out in 2004 when HL2 was released. Anything after that to this day were just modifications, not new engines.

I know that, but I could also say that the source engine never came out, because the 2004 source engine "is just a modified HL1 Engine", and the HL1 Engine is just a modified Quake engine, which is just a modified notepad document, which is just a modified piece of C++ code!

It's obviously fake but I have no proof so I am just going to pull "facts" from my ass :iceCream:

True, but that was a major modification which could be considered a whole new engine. Better graphics, more capabilities, etc. The modifications of the source engine haven't really done much. Graphics look pretty much the same, and I'm sure there weren't many capabilities added.

Even if Valve is planning a HL3 with a new super engine, there is going to be an episode three. Somewhere on some Steam page they refer to "HL2's episodic trilogy".

Damn, but I do think it will be ep3.

It's not fake moron, the picture is from the official TF2 blog, made by valve.

Well I guess it all depends on what you consider "new" technology.
