Author Topic: Counter-Strike 1.6 free of softpedia - is this legit?  (Read 2938 times)

Is it? I want to download it.

Can't you just buy the freaking thing?

I dont has money, but, is it legit?

What is with you and piracy? You two going out?

No, of course not! Getting something for free if it costs money is obviously illegal!

I don't think you can buy it on steam.  You need to get a pack with it.

Something else, softpedia says its freeware. lolwut?

I just needa know if its legit or not.

I own Half-Life, does that change anything? Since CS 1.6 is a mod of that game.
And CS:S

CS 1.6 is it's own damn game, it's not a mod anymore
just buy CSS

I only bought css for teh lulz and gmod compatibility

There isn't a legal free version of CS 1.6. You can get CS 1.5, but it's the WON version. You will need to install Half-Life off of the original Sierra disk along with WON2 to play online.

The copy you get off of Softpedia preloads it on steam, fairly similar to the steam bundles you can get on Fileplanet that come with "games" already installed. You still need to pay for them to play them.

Holy balls, CS 1.6 is ancient. Why would you want it?

I have it on the xbox, and it's pretty bad of a game.

Counter Strike 1.6 is old.

I think it is legit, if Portal was free for sometime, why Counter-Strike wouldn't be?
