I'm fed up with the newbies already i had a scout walk up to me and "try" to shoot me with his shot gun.

Nothing was wrong with the halos themselves. It was more about the circumstances surrounding them. They caused a loving eruption of drama. Some people got banned for wearing them, others got banned for not wearing them. Some servers still have a strict policy regarding them. TF2 was engulfed in flame wars, all because 5% of the community used idling programs and the other 95% got a hat. A loving hat.

It was like The Sneetches, but with more angry fat kids yelling about pixels in a video game.

i'm going to wear my earbuds on classes where the gibus looks bad, like sniper and scout.

ooh, I didn't think about that. yeah, I'll probably wear them. I'll take them off if I get too much stuff about them though.

Being a TF2 vet myself, I'll enjoy killing all the mac/free weekend newbies.
