Wouldn't the person killed just shout out that they have been killed. Or would you be using TDM and have the settings set so dead players cannot talk to live players?

Yeah, have the respawn set to 15 or 20, and also, without the death notice, if someone sniped you, you'd never know what hit you.

I'd like a pref to say,  (assume I'm red here)
-No death notice at all  
-Show your team's kills (Redblock knifed Blueblock, but not Blueblock knifed Redblock)
-Show other team's kills, but with ??? as name (??? knifed Redblock)
-Not show CI for other team's kills (Blueblock ??? Redblock, but still Redblock knifed Blueblock)
-No kill cam (just a blank screen saying, Respawn in ... ), thus no telling who killed you at all.

you could have the no killcam thing but also have something that reads "some one on ??? has been killed" ??? would be replaced by the team name. that would be good because you would know some one died but not who died or who killed them.



This would be good for Spies in TF2 TDMs.

I would want this in 1-life TDM's, but with no deathnotice at all.
And have so you can't talk when you're dead.
Talk about scary when you notice that you are the last man standing in your team.

I play a game mode on Gmod (called Trouble in Terrorist Town, for those who know of it) where out of a group of people there is a small group of traitors. When a person dies, their death is not announced, but they become "Missing in Action" until the body is found and searched, where they then become "Confirmed Dead." The killed player remains out for the whole round, and cannot talk to the living.

There is also at least one detective who is not a traitor who can search the dead in a way where he can find out additional information, such as the last person the player saw before dying and even potentially a sample of the killer's DNA.

The point of all of this is for the small group of non-traitors to find and kill the traitors among them. If they do, the "innocents" win. If the traitors kill them all off first, the terrorists win, but they will need to be very stealthy to do so.

My point is it's a very fun game mode that uses just this sort of technique.

You shoot them they go "OMG HAX"

Team work does not exist in this game.
It's all like:
Leader: Pile up at the front door.
Pvt: NU I wunt 2 shewt rawket!
       *Shoots RPG at the top floor , but due to horrible aim he misses.
       *Players inside get alerted and fire at your team.
       *Since they are on high ground you lose.

Nice teamwork.

No one even uses bases. They have a base full of windows and shields but people decide to stand outside and shoot instead of behind cover.
