graphics-wise, none of the consoles come anywhere close to what an average pc can do lol.
and next gen day of release, they will already be behind.
they just arent made to be any good lol, a poor mans computer.

Believe it or not there are people who want to enjoy games without spending 1000s of dollars on a computer each year.

Yeah but if you want to play a game that just came out you need a better computer. It seems like you are saying that consoles get outdated so fast but computers are immune to it.

PC gaming is still something for the elite. At least in my school, almost everyone plays video games on consoles, of course part of it is probably that they don't even know that a computer can play games.

I'm pretty surprised at how low Portal 2's system requirements are, especially with all the new fancy lighting and stuff.

You don't even need $600. A $300 - $400 dollar computer built with parts off of newegg could easily pull off Portal 2. That's like an extra hundred bucks or so.

well thats true. portal 2 will have a few fresh elements as far as graphics, but its not really the overhaul you are all giving credit for lol. its still the same game basically. requirements are very low.

You are avoiding my statement. I got Portal 2 for the PS3, not the Xbox.

and Obviously you have terrible eye sight. Even a blind person can see the better Lighting, Physics, Effects, particles, and quality in Portal 2 compared to Portal 1. They have different Lighting Engines. Portal 1 Had pretty much pre-set lighting. Portal 2 has Dynamic lights

lol i just looked it up. its the exact same as portal1. (cept its own source game, and not a hl2 mod)
there are no lighting modifications to the engine itself. just a few basic additions.

welcome to 2004 tech lol. in fact portal2 should run better then 1 did on any same computer. since it was created as a stand alone game upon itself.

if you couldnt handle it, you should be ashamed f your old ass computer, not sucking a consoles richard lol
