It's nearly instantaneous, do you run at like 5 fps or something?
No, I mean if you have a really far distance you can see the actual rays hurdling towards it and opening 0.5 seconds later.

How is that selfish? I am not paying 60 buck for a 5 hour campaign. You don't have a say in what I do anyways so forget off.
I'm just waiting for someone to either gift me it or for the price to go down. A lot.
Probably have to wait until Christmas or something. lol

and the portal just happens to be near the *insert historical location*

Yeah I just don't think games are worth as much as the price tag says.

Especially if the price tag is fifty or sixty freaking dollars.

It was 40 bucks, now it's 50 bucks. The campaign is about 6 hours which is average for a first-person-shooter, but then throw in the separate cooperative campaign and it adds 4-6 more hours depending on who you play it with.

Also we're talking bioshock-quality scripted events, and the amazing humor from Portal 1 throughout it all.

don't forget to mention the updates that it'll probably get

Question guis.  I'm thinking of getting Portal 2 and I need to decide.  Buy CD for 44.99 on Amazon and get the game in a week, or buy for 50.00 on Steam and get it in a couple hours?
Just gonna repeat this since it got lost on the last page...

I'd get it through steam, it's only a 5 dollar difference

HATLE 2

(portal2 + hats)

If you buy the CD you have to pay shipping.

IMO it isn't worth the $5 for shipping + week wait.

well aparettly there are now two hat simulator games in this world lol

I seriously think valve should as a joke make a section on steam called 'hat simulators' and have only portal 2 and team fortress 2 show up

I usually don't buy FPSs the moment they come out, and I still don't think it's worth it.

Portal uses TF2 hats, not their own.
