GUYS, CONTEST TIME
http://theportalwiki.com/wiki/Portal_2_Music_Video_Contest

The top 3 videos

3) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OySaq-zg-ZQ - THIS ONE IS GOOD
2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaMEIuTxfwM - This uses trailer stuff, but it's okay, IMO
1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZhnGQXWi1U - This is NOT Portal 2! What makes you think you belong in a Portal 2 contest, Gordon?!

I heard you like science, so I made this:

It's a work-in-progress

holy loving stuff tittyballs
WANT.
In other news, I'm doing a Let's Play with a recording artist from Homestuck, and we were just like, loving around the whole time. So from the beginning of the calibration course ~ end of course 01, the video was 43 minutes total, and a 269 GB file.
Holy. stuff.

That would take up half of my loving harddrive what the hell do you record with?
Something that changes every pixel into a 500-character long binary bitstuff?

Fraps at full-size, then I put all the videos together and compiled it at 720p in Sony Vegas 10 Pro trial.
But right now I'm breaking the video down into bits.

I have research videos over an hour long that might barely go over 1GB. You need to compress the video, not compile or put in plain. Fraps saves live data because compressing it as it records would be too consuming and lag the actual video feed.

Also: 43 minutes * 60 seconds (each) * 29.97 FPS (assumed) = 77322.6 frames. If he's running at 1280 x 920, and around 500 kb each, that makes 38,661,300 KB or 37755.17578125 MB or 0.03601 GB...

Ya, wtf? Why is it so big?

Hi again.

My weekend will be long.

Now find a way to make it move through complex brick removal and placement scripts. :cookieMonster:

You make the scripts I'll sacrifice my pc to die from the hackyness and glitchyness of it.

Nah, it won't be hacky or glitchy. You can make something like this pretty simply. It'd just be loud and annoying (with all the bricks placing and dying). It'd only be hacky and glitchy if you wanted to make it look all fluid and "clean."

You could also just convert it to a model (I think), and then apply some sort of script so that it moves.
