Author Topic: HL2 characters question  (Read 952 times)

When playing Half-Life 2, I noticed there were absolutely no children. There were also no really old people. Just adults. Is this a part of the storyline I missed?

The combine have a suppression field that removes the urge for humans to forget.  So no one's had babies for a while.

The real reason is to avoid germanys laws about how childeren can't been in an adult situation. Origionaly they were going to be in HL2 as slave workers for the Combine.

Thanks

What?

It's a videogame.

The German government has these bullstuff laws about violence. I didn't make them.

In Germany videogames cannot depict children being killed. That's why there's no children in Left 4 Dead/2 or most other games like the level No Russian in MW2.

One of their laws says you can't put swastikas in your games...

Herp, Germans were national socialists half a century ago, they must be violent and evil.
