1.7 is the patch number, you can only play with people who have the same patch because of the maps.

I still can't decide to buy World at war or Call of duty 4

I like stuff from both of them, it all comes down to the steam forums people saying they cant find servers in Waw

Both CoD4 and WaW are good. If you like WW2 more, buy Waw. If you like modern more, buy CoD4.

Nope good old standard three killstreaks. UAV, Airstrike, Helicopter.
