there isn't much you can change about CityRP, because it's basically still the base of:

1. Get money

2. Buy Guns

3. Repeat

Noobs get mad when thay get caught by police. Then the noobs get mad. Then if thay have a forum account thay make a drama topic about it. Theres you're problem.

That isn't roleplaying, and I discourage that to the point that I ban anyone who asks to make a "GUN SHAWP". The only reason my server has guns is for legitimate RP purposes, but I do have a sanctioned zone ("the arena") where people can actively combat each other without compromising the RP.

Then they can stay the forget off RP servers. Getting arrested is part of the roleplay. I ban "noobs", much like yourself, because they aren't roleplaying.

Long ago when I hosted CityRP, I realized the baton was inadequate for law enforcement.

I replaced it with a gun, I'd reccomend you also do the same for long-range jailing.

What CityRPs need is something where you can't just sit around and get paid. You should have to actually do something, and get a paycheck that varies on how much you did your job that tick.

It's called laborer.

That is about the only job that you actually have to work for a paycheck. Every other job like Criminal, Police, Civilian etc. Can just sit around and earn a paycheck for doing nothing. It tends to bore people easily. What I meant by this:

Is that every job would have to do something to get a paycheck, instead of sitting around earning money, purchasing guns, then turning the server into a DM. In my opinion, this is a huge flaw in CityRPs.

Never thought of that o.0, your right though, someone who is a decent shot can easily kill a cop approaching if they aren't shooting back.

Well I think a gun would be a bit overpowered.

Maybe you need to shoot the criminal 3 times before it jails s/he.

Make a few basic money fountain jobs, like miner and lumberjack that add money to the game, then add jobs like painter, printer, builder, real estate agent, gun sales man, etc. that are the only ones who can do their job. So if you want a house you'd need to buy a plot from real estate agent, get it built by a builder, get it painted by a painter, etc.

EXTREME waste of cash, also, as I recall, in real life people have built their own houses with no assistance of professionals.
