Author Topic: Favorite TF2 class? (poll)  (Read 18663 times)

Using it goes like this:

Scout: Oh no, a sentry, I'll just Bonk! myself up!

*Takes steroid Bonk!*

But then he's forgeted because he can't get back around the sentry if he's carrying intel.

So I should just un-equip it?

it's more for escaping or distracting things

So I should just un-equip it?
Its sometimes useful in Arena to get away and go to a team dispenser.

Broke my record and got 85 kills with a single Sentry (it was on a server with a bunch of newbies, but still). Once again, suck that Demoman. I love Engineer class

Sniper.
Got Tribalman's Shiv and Razorback equipped

Its sometimes useful in Arena to get away and go to a team dispenser.

Don't listen to this guy, he uses the Eyelander and thinks he's helping his team. So yes, unequip it.

My list of equipped items and unlocked which are not equipped
Sniper: Tribalman's Shiv, Razorback
Scout: Bonk Soda (i hate crit-a-cola hurr), Sandman, and IM THE "Force-A-Nature" !
Soldier: Equilizer, Buff Banner, Direct Hit              (Pain Train)
Demoman: Scotsman Skullcutter, Chargin' Targe    (Eyelander, Scottish Resistance, Pain Train)
Heavy: Sandvich, Natascha (Great for Balloon race map), Killing Gloves of Bawxing    (Dalokoh's Bar)
Spy: Cloak and Dagger, Ambassador. (Dead ringer was crafted for the shiv)
Medic: Ubersaw, KritzKrieg, Blutsauger  (DONT CRITICISE HOW I EQUIP THE KRITZ. I LIKE IT AND THATS MY UNLOCKABLE.)
Engineer: Nothing. just the regular stuff.
Pyro: Homewrecker, Backburner, Flare gun.  (Axtinguisher)

the stuff in the ( )'s was either notes or unequipped items.
And yes, Draco was right, grow up and craft the skullcutter. I did it. Go to TF2 crafting wiki and find out how. I wont be a teacher and tell you a simple thing.

I love scout, so much fun, I REALLY hate the engineer, I have played him for a while, but then I realized how boring it was, you have two choices as an engineer for play styles, both IMO unbelievably boring, hit and run to your turret, or camp behind it with a dispenser. Meanwhile as a scout it takes some real effort to take down certain classes and requires thinking things through before just running in, or else you die.

No I don't mean it takes the most because that's obviously the spy.

Imo, easiest classes to take out as a scout, Other Scouts, Medics, Engineers unguarded, Heavys, Snipers, and Spys.

Meanwhile the easiest for Engineers to take out are, Spys(Disguised +Sapping) without hiding, Imo.

Don't listen to this guy, he uses the Eyelander and thinks he's helping his team. So yes, unequip it.

Gotcha

"Boring" and "powerful" are different things. If you have patience, you will do well. Also, I've "accidentally" taken out Spies sapping my Sentry by randomly swinging the wrench, which is very efficient. A fully powered Sentry can take on anything, especially Scouts. Sentry aim plus the Scout's low health means an easy kill. It also takes thinking with the Engineer, like placing your buildings. Also remember that you can still use the shotgun and wrench in close combat while your Sentry deals with other things. Both those weapons are quite good together. And Dispensers help you and your team, alongside Teleporters. Very good for a team needing to travel long distances.

So, IMO, Engineer is the best class for me. Next up is Spy (in case of excess Sentries) and then Pyro (for just fighting and spy checking). Then Demoman for quick defense. I've never used Medic, and rarely Scout. I don't use Heavy or Soldier much either. Sniper is only for huge field maps.

My loadout.

-Scout-
FaN, Lugermorph, Bat

-Soldier-
Vanilla, direct hit is stuff.

-Pyro-
Axtinguisher, rest sucks.

-Demoman-
Vanilla, I'm a proper demoman.

-Heavy-
I don't play heavy, it's the easy button class.

-Medic-
Kritz/uber depending on map. Rest sucks, expecially blutsauger.

-Sniper-
Shiv

-Spy-
Big Kill

I just used Bonk in the perfect situation. I was playing on cp_badlands and my team had all the points except the final point, which was guarded by sentry and various other players. I drank my Bonk, ran around a little to wear it down a bit, then ran passed the sentry and into the edge of the semi-cylinder shield around the point, barely out of the line of sight of the sentry, where my Bonk ran out a second after I touched the point and I capped it before anyone got me. I've also used it in Arena mode where I've been caught on fire to evade the burn damage.

My loadout.

-Scout-
FaN

After all the complaining you've done, I laughed

Scout:
Vanilla. Sandman and FaN are terrible and I don't like the tradeoff for bonk or crit-a-cola

Soldier:
RL, Shotgun, and Equalizer

Pyro:
Flamer, Shotgun, Axetinguisher. Flare gun is useless underwater or against other pyros.

Demoman:
don't use

Heavy:
Sasha, Sandvich, and KGB

Engy:
derp

Medic:
Blut, Medigun, and Ubersaw. +health on hit? Why wouldn't I use it.

Sniper:
Don't play him. Ever.

Spy:
see above.

I never once mentioned the FaN, Regulith. I don't hate all unlocks, contrary to your belief.

Bonk! is stupid regardless. You swap your only long range support for some fizzy situational drink.
