Are you on wireless or wired? That affects your ping by a huge load depending on your router type.
Post your router if you're on wireless.
Post modem if wired

If I ever have a torrent present uTorrent then my ping spikes for some reason. I delete it and it goes down to a mild 10-70

for one, i am using wireless.
and for two, i have an old quest router.


but my moms quest contract ends in two weeks and we will switch to clear wire. :D

Almost every time I play TF2 online, my PINGAS constantly goes up. The record I've seen was 800-something. Everyone else seems to have theirs around 100 or less. Why?! I'm not downloading anything. Also, the rest of my household's computers are off, so no internet for them. Team Fortress 2 is the only visible program running. What do I do?
