Meh, this is probably JUST me, but I've always found indie games a little artsy fartsy. Sure, a lot of them have beautiful, original, and inspired art along with creative gameplay, but perhaps there's a reason most games stick with tried-and-true mechanics. There's only one or two indie games that I can honestly say I'd play often if I had more time to devote to playing games.
