Anyone think $150 for a surround sound headset is too much?

I got these. They are cheap, haven't hurt my ears at all. (take notice that I wear them like 15 hours a day) HD sound, compatible with pretty much all games and software. USB or standard plug in. Adjustable size. Lightweight.

Cons: Can break somewhat easily. Be careful.

That would be kinda awesome.

But if you're just adding an effect, then it's not going to be the same. Like if a sound is coming from the back of a scene of a movie, and you just "add an effect" then it might not end up sounding like it's coming in back of you on your sound system.

I didn't mean an effect, I mean like adding a sound to the rear-left speaker/etc channel and possibly lowering the volume if it's supposed to be far away, not just adding an effect.

Not toslink/spdif. Also, any sound is HD as long as it's not stuff quality.
