Poll

So, what do you think about this "vocal technique"

It's great, adds to the intensity
It's good in moderation, there needs to be singing, too
Ugh, its loud, disturbing, not music. etc...

The music topics lately have just got me wondering what YOU PEOPLE think about this.
I personally like it, but I think I know which way the poll will go...

Honestly, I am really into that kind of music.

I don't give a forget about what y'all think. It's the kind of music I prefer over most other kinds.

It's only good in moderation.

Songs that consist of only screaming or growling are usually also accompanied by instrumental tracks that seem like they have no thought behind it.

Then again, there are some songs with only screaming/growling that are okay

I don't see what's so great about choking alongside a boring bass drum repeating. I assume the real reason is that the people who listen to it don't care about how it sounds. Instead, whether it makes them "cool" or not.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STh01Fwb6-M&feature=fvst   disregard lolmusicvideo

Good example of a combination of screaming and singing. The beginning is hardcore, blast beats and heavy riffs.

but get to 2:35 in the video and you'll see the other half... much softer singing, beautiful guitar solos...

Sometimes you just have to disregard the screaming to hear the thought thats put into the music.
and no, I don't think it makes me cool, anyways, most people just respond:
Ew.

I love the instrumental side of death metal songs but the lyrics are terrible.
