Author Topic: Steam account hijacked  (Read 2614 times)

Okay, my steam account has been hijacked somehow, I dont know if I have any viruses so I'm doing a scan currently.
I sent a ticket to Steam support, before this happened my steam kept trying to verify game cache, so I restarted and then i couldnt log in, waiting for steam support response. Any help?

The hijacker might try and send spam links, if you are friends with IrishBandit, please tell me if he gets online!

did it say your account was logged in else where?

if so change your email password at once or you could lose it to

if it didn't say that just check and see if you have caps lock on

I added you to my friends list to see what your hijacker does

no one's on his account I think he's jumping to conclusions

either that or he's not telling the whole story

If your account is in use, I think you can still go on it, it just gives you something so you can log the other instance out.

Maybe when you closed it, it didn't send a message that it logged out? SO it means it could still be suck logged in to the server. Wait after awhile and then see if you can log in. If you can, it means you crashed somehow or way.

What the forget are you talking about

I cant log in because the password has changed.

Should've verified the email.

I did.
Then it hasn't been changed unless you've accepted the change.

This.

Also, if you got hacked by a troll and not an identity thief, get ready to be VAC banned from all your games.

If that happened, couldn't I appeal it by proving that I couldnt logon in the timeframe that hacks were used?

Give me your password and I can fix it   :cookieMonster:

VAC bans are never reversed.  Never ever.  Also, you weren't hacked, simply log in, kick him off, and change your password.  I'm doubt anyone's even using your account.  It's probably an error on your part.  Try different caps combinations.
