really? i've just noticed its a total whore when it comes to CPU usage, or RAM, or whatever, but thats because I don't have enough memory allocated/enough ram to be modern-friendly.
Yoo hoo!
Everyone shut the forget up about it. They are both operating systems and who gives a
flying rat's ass which one is better.
This is my average RAM usage for Windows 7 (Playing games as well):

(Green is freed space and red is used space. Notice that 59% is free on average.)
When I had Vista installed, I was never able to get that little green bar above 30%. I'm quite pleased with 7 because my games run a bit quicker on it but at the same time I'm pissed because of Microsoft including stupid ass stuff such as the "Snap" feature and the new minimization bullstuff that I hate.
ANYWAY.
Back to the old machine now.
It's from 2005, and it came with XP Media Center edition 2005. Even that didn't run well on it, I could never get audio drivers for it.
Windows 7 says right now that the correct driver for display has already been installed. I have 32 bit colours, but still only able to go to 640x480 resolution. Sound is available and working for the first time (besides Ubuntu) on that machine.
