Author Topic: Personal Timescales  (Read 1343 times)

It would be epic if you could set a timescale for yourself. you could be sitting there in Matrix slomo playing while another person builds

Eh, use console client sided time scale?

Impossible.
Lets say the server time is 1.
And you want 1.1
Then you have 1 second of lag for every 10 seconds of play.
You see the server just stays on 1.
Everyone else does too.
But you go faster.

Spaceguy mentioned this before.

Basically, a personal timescale would be a speed modifier.

It is -Impossible-
You can only be more speedy thanks to a cetain player type of some sort.

Slow-mo is possible tough.

it isn't impossible, you can do it client sided to slow you down

Obviously you aren't reading: You can make your own game seem like it's changed speed, but the server won't perceive it. As such, you're just making yourself lag or something in comparison to everyone else.

you guys aren't getting it, your player goes faster or slower while the others don't need to change at all. so if the server timescale is 2 and your personal timescale is 1 every1 around you is going fast assuming they are at 2 with the server while you are going normal speed. this is a good idea, i think its possible but idk. hope so. been suggested a million times tho.

What if someone on timescale 1 shoots you while you're on timescale .2? You'd try to do your matrix dodge but they're timescale 1 bullet would being going normal speed.

As people have said before me, changing timescale for one person is impossible. If there was somehow a playertype that made people faster or slower, that could be possible. But what do you intend to use this for?

i am reading, it IS possible, although not very nice for yourself

also, to prove that this is possible, look at the flash grenade
