also, long sword and light/medium bowguns are great for fast moving targets.
if you are fighting a giant ass beast
switch axe or great sword is the way to go

Sword and Shield is fabulous if you're well equipped and know what you're doing. My favorite would have to be the Djiin, or rather it's upgrade, RISING FALCHION.

It's not an RPG. And you've obviously never seen the Jhen Mohran, one of the most cinematic and incredible bossfights I've EVER SEEN. You fight that bitch on a DRAGONSHIP, DUDE.
