Really, the only thing in the ENTIRE GAME weak to water is the Uragaan. And, technically, the Barroth when it's covered with mud, otherwise it's weak to fire.

Barroth should always be weak to water, at least when it has it's ROCK armor, I mean seriously... :c WATER forgetIN DESTROYS ROCKS.

that monday is way too fast. but his lance is the STRONGEST WEAPON IN THE ENTIRE GAME (mathematically anyway)

Oro does, Barioth is quick as hell, I can often not even dodge his pounces. Not to mention he can fly. Why can everything fly in that game? Even Diablos, a giant loving rock monster has wings.

Because everything is a wyvern. Even the Great Jaggi. The only reason it can't fly is because it's yet to develop wings, it's a dinosaur, and birds evolved from dinosaurs (This is most evident in the Qurupeco, what with it's feathers). Technically, even the Ceadeus and Jhen Mohran are (elder, as they say in Minegarde) dragons, though the only really straight forward dragon is Alatreon, and he's technically a mash-up of all of the other final boss Elder Dragons.

the lance if loving awesome at green sharpness
hammer is a good start because lots of damage
remember to make potions, and also remember to take those potions with you.
barroth charges alot
gobul is a bitch the first time through.

If you can get pro at lance, you will be awesome.

Longsword is lovey

And if you can afford to make it, have a bowgun with some bowgun armor. I heard that those special ammos can really help in capture missions.

i just wasted a few dozen thousand on a top notch bowgun
it cant even use half the ammo i made, not to mention it only carries 2 of each special bullet.
