not arrows
but thingies that glow and look like darts

Bowgun=The most helpful support weapon in the game. It's what it sounds like, its a gun, lol.

See, the perfect "Big Monster Hunting Team" consists of two Great Sword users, a Lance/LongSword user, and a Bowgun user. The Great Swords attack whenever possible depending on Attack more than anything else, aiming mainly for the head. Great Sword users are basically the big shots of the team.

The Lance/LongSword users depend on Elemental power. The only let-down of the LongSword is that you need to depend on a high defense as well, as you cannot block with it. These users can use Status Effects against a big monster, such as sleep and paralysis, but to make this part a perfect fit to the team they should stick strictly to elemental power, matching the weakness of the target.

And finally, my part, the Bowgun. Bowgunners aren't normally the big shots of the team, rather they stay away from the fight most of the time, due to the low defense their special armor provides. To best support as a Bowgunner, you should stick mostly with explosive ammo and Status Effect ammo. I also carry around Exhaust ammo, as it stops a monster's "rage mode". Bowgunners can inflict damage when others can't, such as shooting the Gigginox down from the top of the cave, causing damage both with the ammo and when it hits the ground. And with Status Effect ammo, you can also temporarily paralyze monsters to allow your GreatSwords to get some headshots/make monsters fall asleep so your squad can place bombs around the head, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Did I win? :3

Hammer isn't necessarily a great user to have on a hunting team, as it is Impact.
