Author Topic: Goodbye, Japan  (Read 805 times)

Since I've seen some other summer vacation/leaving threads I decided to make this.  Let's get to the point.

As some users here may know, I've lived in Japan for the past 3 years.  It's been a really neat experience and I really do love the country.  Unfortunately, I'm leaving Japan and moving to Germany (which I still am looking forward to since I've looked into it and it seems like a pretty cool place).  Anyway, currently I'm in a hotel in Tokyo writing this and I just got back from a trip to Shibuya, which is basically one of those huge cities with loads of people and giant buildings with neon everywhere. (basically the epitome of those pictures you find when you search "tokyo night lights" in google).  Even though I'm moving to Germany my goal is to continue learning Japanese since I've already taken 2 years of classes in the language.  My family will be traveling through the US and arrive in Germany in August, (so if anyone cares this means I won't be that active for quite a while).

Guess I gotta start learning some German, too?

I hope I have enough money one day to run around and live in different countries.

Why are you leaving Japan?

Listen to Rammstein, it helps :o

Why are you leaving Japan?

My dad's in the military; we were only stationed over here for 3 years.  :panda:

Send me some Pocky?

edit: You're only 15 :o must be so amazing to travel the world at such a young age. Do you like it? I know some people like to be in 1 spot for a long time and not move a lot, but I would love to move from place to place every year or few

Haha, I'm actually going to be in Hawaii tomorrow.  I lived in Hawaii for most of my life, actually.

Yeah, but there's the typical moving away from friends deal that inevitably happens.  Either way, I'm pretty lucky to have lived here for as long as I did.  I always thought that living in a town and knowing everyone from kindergarten through your Senior year in high-school would be pretty cool, but I think I prefer it this way.
