Author Topic: If you could change anything about Blockland in an instant, what would it be?  (Read 8519 times)

For me, it would Ragdoll physics.

It would be so satisfying to watch the ragdoll fall right off a cliff with edges.
With crunching noises <3

I would change it to the source engine, and it wouldn't be gmod with bricks, it would be blockland in source starfishs.

Moving bricks with cframe via events.

like in tob lololol

I would fix and upgrade waterblocks

v16 fixed the load glitch

i dont know what you mean by upgrade

Not water bricks. Waterblocks, as in the map entity.

Either remove wet edges doesn't work or there isn't a way to fill in the spaces under terrain with water, scaling sometimes screws up, water gaps don't scale right if the terrain block size changes, some graphic enhancements would be nice as well.

i see

yes

This needs to be done

lag compensation (or lack thereof)

alternately, the fact that blockland isn't wedge's blockland 2.0

I'd fix my goddamned server list problem...

Ways to fade between different skies, fogs and weather would be nice too.

I'm hoping one of these days we'll get an update that's mapping and graphics enhancements.

Lol guise lets make a new custom engine with perfect liquid physics, perfect physics, virtual reality that track movements instead of pointing to move, ragdoll physics, civilian interaction, Perfect RP variables, no lag, amazing graphics 10x better than Crysis and a 100% destructable environment.

Also have bricks that you can set to move to other locations like func_tracktrain in valve hammer editor, but have the ability to build ontop.

This, and Water that doesn't look like it's from an old game, parallax mapping, bumpmapping, and dynamic lights adding shadows.  (So editing interior lighting ingame that affects the whole environment)

There's some updates that could be done to the map editor too, although I don't really know if Badspot wants to touch that. Stuff like automatically guessing a good fog color by looking at a skybox image, printing errors if someone tries to save a map and forgot to set a texture somewhere (but still letting them save), putting in drag and drop support for putting items in groups, automatically putting new spawn points in the spawn group, etc.

I'd make it look more like lego while being able to avoid copyright infringement.

Or make it so that there are more decals and accessories.

Or a menu on the main screen that lets you download the most recommended/downloaded addons like the duplicator.
