Hooray!

I'm not a child. I'm also not swearing in front of my parents or any other minors, instead peers who always hear this day-to-day.

Evolved for the better? Don't kid yourself. It's that time again children!

Let's brown townyze these songs.

1950's-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmJ1AqtTuyo

Light, easy, bubblegum-y. Invokes a feeling of happiness and pleasantry.
Main idea is to convey a feeling of love between 2 people.

Dark. Depressing. Heavy. Discomforting.
Main themes involve burning in hell, haunting, and murder.

It's clear which one is better oriented for a pleasant society.
My parents have every god damned right to tell me what to do. I have duties around the house. Taking out the garbage is a simple chore. Chores are also very common and there's nothing wrong with them. No need to make smart remarks in the event your parents make a request you can easily do. You'll lose like, what, 5 minutes? What were you going to do that was so critical?
I will never agree with you on good music, because our likes are so different.

Also, I turned on the horns on the soccer ball and enjoyed that more then the music itself.

Although I do think that they were being nuisances, plus I think that your reaction was rather immature.

hey, stop trying to derail the topic and discuss classic rock.

I think it's a fact positive stimuli is better for child development. Last I checked, 99% of today's music doesn't contain positive stimuli.

I feel that my music is more realistic.  Not everything is a happy, giddy love story with a good ending.  Lots of events turn to stuff.

Yeah, some things go wrong so let's all hate the world!

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

THE CLOUDS WILL PART
AND THE SKY CRACKS OPEN
AND GOD HIMSELF WILL REACH HIS loving ARM DOWN
JUST TO PUSH YOU DOWN
JUST TO HOLD YOU DOWN

but find me a little kid that listens to nine inch nails. Most kids stay away from that (or maybe it's more that they don't have any real way to get to it) until they're old enough to be for the most part developed.

I bet that's good material for a child to grow up with.

"Well son, everything in life will probably turn to stuff. So don't have any hopes or dreams, most likely they'll never come true."

Yeah, some things go wrong so let's all hate the world!
Well maybe you are in a better situation than I am, so you have a more positive outlook on life.  I don't.

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus isn't a well known band, but many like them.
Green Day is a widely known excellent band.
My Chemical Romance is a hate it or love it band.
I don't need to say a word about how great Nirvana is.
Skillet is well liked.
Blink-182 is very popular.
Linkin Park was a huge hit at the turn of the century, they have one of the highest sold debut albums.
Gorillaz is also well liked.

By the way, can someone really say that they don't like these songs?

Wake Me Up When September Ends
Teenagers
Come As You are
Monster
Dammit
In The End
Feel Good Inc.

I don't hold high expectations for myself, and neither do my parents.

You make it sound like you don't hold expectations at all.
