"Those who end in the best situation, have made the best of their situation."
Just saying as a thought.
I find this true
Since the thread is already derailed, I listen to mainly 60's-90's standard/heavy rock, dance, electric, and techno music.
I find these heavy metal bands to be just kids who are uncourageous and severely abused at childbirth. I however do find bands like the Foo Fighters and Linkin Park good, even though some of their songs involve the oh so horrid screaming into a microphone. But they don't do it the whole song, and they don't snort like a damn pig being slaughtered. I also like techno music of various artists like John Scatman, Dimirain47, etc.
I find it appalling how some parents these days let there kids do whatever the hell they want, or buy them thousands of dollars worth of junk when they didn't do anything to get it besides a couple B's on their report card, if nothing at all. I find hundred's of teenagers with their Ipod touches and Iphones with thousands of applications on it, that I know they really didn't deserve. If I get all A's on my report card, for the whole year, I get like 20$. This is a humble reward in which I worked hard for, and I fully deserved. I have probably bought almost every item for myself since I was 10 that wasn't essential and that was about 5$ or more.
I just think it's a really good idea for parents to let their kids play games like GTA IV, because that would be great education on how the current world is. It would teach them that going to the strip clubs is fun, evading cops is easy, and that prostitutes should be legal in the US. It would embed profanity into their head, so they know cursing any time they get mad or when they want to look tough is the best idea.
This should be what parents should think about whenever they buy an M rated game for their 10-14 year old son. I hate any parent who has bought any 3d Grand theft auto game for their kid.
I also get really pissed about society when people think any song that is not mainstream is complete stuff. They are too involved in their Justin Bieber/Ke$ha/Lady Gaga/Lil' Wayne spell to give a stuff about any song I like, or any music that was made before 2000 that is not rap. I actually do like classic music, it usually brings a feel good charm into me, and I feel so innocent listening to it.
I want to set high standards for myself, within education, and most other parts of life. I want to become a builder of the foundation of a greater society tomorrow, through computer engineering, and philosophy and being a philanthropist if I get rich.
This statement is probably longer than it should be, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out.
