Author Topic: setPrintLetter Event  (Read 1272 times)

You know how there's a setPrintCount event? Well, this is exactly like that EXCEPT that instead of numbers, it does letters.

This would help so bad for a build that I'm doing.

Wrong section.
On topic:I NEED THIS. I support this idea for good reasons.

It sounds fun. Like someone clicks a button and some prints that originally said "I love you" now say "I hate you."

We have this, I'm almost sure
it was failed

We have this, I'm almost sure
it was failed

Why? Out of all the add-ons we, as a collective Blockland community, have made, this seems fairly simple. Just assign each letter a numeric value and add the necessary event stems.

Then again, I am no expert on add-ons...

Nobody ever decides to make this.

It was made before, but it was failed for some reason.  I believe it was called setPrint...

SetPrint events were made by MegaScientifical, and it was failed because it hacked blockland to change the print.

I had made a request like this before, and he said he'd look into it this summer if he remembered and had the time.

SetPrint events were made by MegaScientifical, and it was failed because it hacked blockland to change the print.
You can't 'hack' blockland with the exception of the key system. To hack something, it needs to have something stopping you from doing whatever you're trying to do. Blockland runs with an open console window that you can freely type your own commands into, nothing to stop you. Now if by hack you mean it hurt blockland in some way or did something with the engine, that would be correct.

/attempting to look like i know what i'm talking about

I'd do it but I'm lazy as stuff.

I've seen the failed event and wanted it, but as has already been said, it was failed.

I support the idea of someone fixing/remaking such an addon and it would be valued by many methinks.
