Author Topic: $44,080 Raise  (Read 1873 times)

I was watching the news yesterday, and I saw something that caught my eye. In Mehlville, Missouri, The Mehlville School Superintendent Terry Noble was about to retire. But before then, the Mehlville School Board President, Tom Diehl, gave Terry Noble a $44,080 raise to keep him from retiring. A reporter interviewed Tom Diehl, so I decided to write what they said on a piece of paper.

So you gave him forty-four thousand dollars so he wouldn't retire? Is that what your saying? And then you say, "Oh we want to keep him working and give him another forty-four thousand dollars". Is that what you're saying?

When you boil it down, you can say that.

Do you believe tax payers should like this deal?

My descision and the descision of this board isn't based on how the tax payers feel.

What do you think of it? Share about how you feel of it, here, on what Tom Diehl said.

Sounded like such a douche in that last statement.

80% of the blockland communtiy are not "tax payers" and think they know stuff about politicts.

Only thing they really know is "Obama is black HURR"

God i would start a riot if he said that.

How do you know, Mr. Knowitall?

Sounds like whoever runs that school took advice from Lehman Brothers.

Oh lol.

How do you know, Mr. Knowitall?
Because generally older people won't buy lego games.

The general age community for blockland is 11-14. 11-14<18

We may never know. People are not as they seem to be.

Ontopic: I think what this guy did is a sign of Liberalism.

its an important job.

you fail to mention if he was successful and helpful in his previous work.
you fail to mention what he was currently paid, or what other school board presidents are paid, so to show IF this is even enough/to much.
you fail to mention what MORE money the tax payers could have to pay out for his retirement if he did that instead.

you kids need to stay away from politics. you are to stupid for it.
you imply this is all a bad thing, but you dont even know why.

The guy could go ahead and quit for all i care.

I dont pay taxes to keep the superintendant working, i pay taxes for school supplies and books.

I say forget, let him retire.
