Team Fortress 2 Help???

I recently bought myself a copy of TF2, and was really excited.
When I started it up it worked fine. Intsalled correctly, and the title screen, loadout screen, ect... all worked fine.
But when I start a game, the textures are either all black, or all rainbow, and when I shoot a weapon the game closes.

Can I get some help on this?

Maybe your computer can't run tf2. Try using this to tell you that.

You can't use a computer without a Graphics card.
Your computer won't render anything if you don't.  Including the desktop.
