Apparently it's that time again where SEGA dumps one set of actors, and gets a new one.
Sonic the Hedgehog was first voiced by
Ryan Drummond in the video games, but was replaced after Sonic Heroes due to the 4Kids Sonic X anime dubbing.
Jason Griffith got to play Speedy Hedgehog starting in the Shadow the Hedgehog game till now.
SEGA went with all the dubbed actors for the other characters, and have used them since then as well.
Till now, at least.
They are getting new blood for Sonic and friends, though they have only confirmed the actors for Sonic, Tails, and Eggman (Eggman is the only one so far who has the same actor).
If you've seen the Bleach or Naruto animes, Assassin's Creed, or Resident Evil, you may recongize Sonic's actor:
Roger Craig Smith.
For Tails, we get
Kate Higgins or the pink-haired ninja Sakura Haruno.
Personally, I think she'd probably be better for Amy Rose.
Again, Eggman gets the actor from 4kids dubbed anime,
Mike Pollock.
I found this very interesting, and a bit exciting. I wonder if these new guys will be able to play their parts good enough.
The new games are not very exciting to me, but I am interested to hear these new guys.
